The Training Division initiates and supervises a variety of activities. Since firefighters are confronted with situations that require quick decisions based on special skills, judgment and creativity, it is the Training Division’s goal to ensure that firefighters are prepared for those situations. The Training Division keeps abreast of developing technology and incorporates it into the firefighter's daily training. Therefore, the Division supplies training lessons and in-service training for new and current firefighter throughout their careers. The Training Division also ensures that all current personnel comply with federal and state mandates regarding operations and safety. |
